In fact, it is an outgrowth of Instagram and the culture surrounding the major brands, brand ambassadors and lifestyle gurus that populate the social media platform. "We followed a lot of these accounts ourselves, just on a personal level, and we could see the kind of responses they were getting," explained Chakour.
